The Parker-Lingerfelt Experience

Lunchtime with my good friend and brother, David Parker, is always a load of fun. David is not only a very blessed preacher and singer, he is also one of the funniest story tellers I have ever known. Up from Delo, Mississippi, David joined me to preach in the annual January Bible Conference hosted by Brother Johnny Fletcher and the Saints at Miracle Silver Crest Baptist Church in Chattanooga, Tennessee. We were treated like royalty by those fine Saints! We were also blessed by the singing and preaching of Ron Jackson, and the preaching of Johnny Carter, Eddy Brunson, and Sammy Burns. Dave stayed over until Sunday to preach at Silvercrest and then came over to Providence in Pulaski and preached for us Sunday evening the 6th. We really enjoyed the message on Praise and his singing of "New Grace" and "Ship Ahoy."

But even though we have such great fun together, the fun has been tempered by the fact that Brother David's wife has terminal cancer. Sister Sandra is a gracious lady and a humble servant of Jesus Christ. She has been a real help to David for numerous years as he has been both a pastor and evangelist. Please pray for her that God would grant her and David mercy in these hours. We love them Both! We will be together again in Carthage, Texas with Brother Barney Bryant and the Saints at Parkway Baptist in 2 weeks.
