Whew, Boy!

I can't believe it has been so long sent I posted here. Since the last time I have had quadruple by-pass surgery and have been through the mill! But our Lord is gracious and merciful and brought me through it all. 

While waiting for surgery December 9, I had a 5 day stay in the hospital leading up to the day. It was during these waiting hours that I had a wonderful meeting with our Lord. Now I know what Paul meant by "that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, being made conformable to His death and the fellowship of His sufferings. Of course I know nothing of true sufferings. But I believe in those hours I was experiencing a true conformity to His death. The peace that I had was overwhelming and I could only think of how grand it would be to close my eyes in death and be face to face with my Lord. Oh how grand it is to truly live under the banner of "absent from the body and present with the Lord."

Well, my appointment with death did not come and I recovered nicely. There are still days when I feel weak, but all in all the Lord is so gracious. Thanks to all of you who knew about my surgery and lifted up prayers for me. Also thanks to all of you who saw to our need while we were away from work. God truly blessed us and I know He will bless you for your generosity.
